This product show as little white grains, its molecular weight is 514.86 while melting point is 39.5-41.5oC. The acid value is 0.05mgKOH/g max. It can be dissolved in solvents such as benzene, tonluene and acetone. This product can dissolve hydroperoxides and re-compose the main phenolic antioxidant that is used together with it. It is most suitable for using in resin for long-term heating oxidation and aging resistance, This product is widely used as secondary antioxidant in PE, PP, PVC resin, ABS resin and PVC. It can also be used in natural rubber, synthetic rubber and oils. It shows good synergistic effects when being used together with phenolic antioxidants (such as BHT, 1010, 1076, 1098, 1790, CA and BBM) and ultraviolet radiation absorbents. Because of the very low toxicity of this product, many foreign countries permit this product as food packing material.
