Single Wavelength EDFA Gain Module


The MSA (Multi-Source Agreement) compatible EDFA gain module is designed for single-channel or banded channel amplification. It is a direct, low cost drop-in replacement for existing high cost EDFAs. The MSA compatible EDFA gain module includes an un-cooled 980nm pump laser, input monitor and input isolator, output monitor and out-put isolator, and a reel of optimized erbium-doped fiber. The physical size of the MSA compatible EDFA gain module is 90 x 70 x 15 mm. The total power consumption is below 5 W.
