As a standalone digital announcer, Meridian External Recorded Announcement (MERAN) is intended to offer simple, cost effective and easy to operate solution for RAN and Music On Hold applications.MERAN is pre-configured with 4 minutes of voice or music memory storage that can be easily expanded to over 16 minutes. MERAN is compatible with all Meridian 1 options (11-81) and Meridian SL-1 ST, NT, XT systems no matter what kind release software are running.MERAN`s latest design eliminates the need for external battery back up, changes traditional digital announcer`s complicated programming and operation to simple plug and play installation.With industry,s leading technology, MERAN`s voice and audio signals are directly stored into on-chip nonvolatile memory cells in their original form providing high quality, natural voice reproduction and more than 100 year message retention.For flexibility, MERAN has two models:1) Single channel: MERAN DA260-12) Four channels: MERAN DA260-4The all channels are multi cross connect ports that can be connected to Enhanced Universal Trunk (EXUT) and RAN Trunk at MDF. The every channel is working separately and independently which supports Continuous RAN mode, tart/Stop mode, and E&M mode.With MERAN`s wall mounted design, it is easy to install it beside MDF and provide simple adjunct cabling between Meridian 1 and MERAN. In order to offer simple maintenance, ERAN` LCD display indicates working state ( Stop, Playing, Recording), message length, playbacking mode (Continuous RAN, Start/Stop, E&M ).The MERAN DA260-1 is external device for providing Ran, MOH application for PBX. The functions and capabilities of the MERAN are controlled by the circuitry on the Motherboard and the software residing in its memory.For music on hold application, MERAN provides a reliable music source device.
