Bio-Diesel Plants
- Biodiesel is increasingly made and sold at petrol stations throughout Europe, where it is sold as a mixture of 5% biodiesel with 95% standard diesel.- It can be produced from vegetable oil obtained from plants specially grown for this purpose, such as soya, sunflower, oilseed rape, and from animal fats and recycled restaurant fryer oils.Serton Enginy can supply:- Small plants with output capacities of 10, 000 litres per day;- Larger plants with an output of 5, 000 litres per hour.To obtain 1, 000 KG of biodiesel (and 112gk of glycerine) the raw materials required are:- 1, 000 KG of oil or fat;- 102kg of methanol;- 6kg of metoxide;- 6kg of inorganic acid.Further inputs required are:- 20 cubic metres of water (reusable) ;150kg steam at 6 bar;- 30kw electricity;- 100 gm Bayer Nevada antioxidant and compressed air.
