The higher the specific activity per unit weight of enzyme, more valuable it is. Care is therefore taken to protect the activity.It is available accordingly IP, BPC and USP specifications. It has grades like 100 TU, 200 TU, 300 TU, 500 TU, 1000 TU (TU Stands for Tyrosine Value).
