It functions by binding with Bacterium Ribosomal 30S Submit and thus inhibiting bacteria from protein synthesis. It is used for counteracting various serious infections,such as pneumonia, septicemia and abdominal infections etc. caused by various sensitive enteric bacillus bacteria, such as Escherichia Coli, Klebsiella, Bacillus Proteus, E.aerogenes, and Shigella etc. To counteract septicemia and abdominal infections, Kanamycin Acid Sulphate is practically applied jointly with other antibiotics.
