Italian wine making company was established in 1968 in the Aeolian archipelago in Sicily.Since the beginning, the founder became attracted to the cultivation of Malvasia, a grape which local farmers harvest the second half of September and sundry for two weeks or so on mats, making the famous Passito delle Lipari.The owner learned the local winemaking techniques like this and integrated them with the study of modern and ancient standards.The winery produces the following wines:- Malvasia- Malvasia Passito- Malvasia Riserva- Salina Bianco- Carlo Hauner- Rosso Antonello.The vineyards have an average slope from 20 to 35% and an altitude from 50 to 100 metres above sea level. The volcanic and pumice origin land is rich in organic substances and mineral elements. The installations` system is Guyot modified with distances of 2, 00 x 1, 00 with an installation density of 5000 plants for ha.The winery also produces Grappa di Malvasia, a brandy obtained from distilled dregs of Malvasia delle Lipari grapes; the method of production is called "discontinuous system" where small copper boilers are used and where the ancient tradition is still used for sorting our the best part of the distillate, "the core" separating it form noxious alcohols and unpleasant substances (heads and tails) .The winery also produces capers, flavourful buds that were the first to label the phrase, "Capers from Salina".The winery wishes to get in touch with importers and wholesalers interested in typical wines, spirits and capers from Sicily.Target countries: Korea, Japan, Russia, Germany, Great Britain and Sweden.
