I.Feature: Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Fungi, AMF, refers to the infection of the plants roots by endogenous arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi to form a small branch of arbuscules. AMF can absorb water and inorganic nutrition through hypha, and help the host to absorb water and inorganic nutrition in soil, such as N, P, and other microelements. As a result, it helps to decrease the application of chemical fertilizers. Mycorrhiza is formed by the combination of fungus and plant root. Mycorrhizal fungi can be divided into two species--endomycorrhiza and ectomycorrhiza. Endomycorrhiza hypha will enter the root cell of plants, and contact the plant cell by hyphae arbuscular structure. Ectomycorrhiza doesn t enter the plant cells. Instead, it coils the fungi, but the fungi will not erode in plant s cell. Some of the hypha has both exogenous and endogenous structures. Arbuscular Mycorrhizal fungi can form many hypha with plants. Mycorrhizal fungi can promote the plant absorption of water, minerals, and other nutrients. It can also help to counteract heavy-metal pollution, lengthen the life of root, and promote the survival rate of newly bred transplantation. It has been highly recommended by many universities and agricultural research institutes that the application of AMF to crops with has the advantages of improving plant growth rate and promoting plant resistance to severe cold.
