GK PDC --"Helmet" Diamond bit inserts "a Rock Killer" The proprietary product—GK PDC GK PDC cutter is a Chinese name “Gang Kui” for short, it looks like a helmet. It features higher impact ressistance. With high speed, fix good, long service time, when drilling using the GK products. It is not only useful in homogeneous strata, but also in broken rock or peeble rocks. It is known as a Rock Killer. When the drill bit meets big rocks during drilling into the stratum, the helmet surface of GK helps to crush the rocks or squeeze them into the fissure, so that the cutting surface of GK is protected and its service life is prolonged. 1. The three performance: (1) Impact Resistance The side can stand the impact up to 200 times, the spherical surface can stand and the common PDC can only have 50 times more than 1000 times of impacts of impact. (2) Wear Resistance The abrasion ressistance of GK is highly improved by using the superfined diamond powder and adding some special activated elements and adopting special technology of synthesis. Its wear ratio is up to 500,000 which is twice as the common PDC. (3) Thermal stability GK is made by using the special helmet design, so that the stress on the surface of GK will be eliminated and dispersed. There is a special layer called “transition layer” which helpd to improve the thermal stability and bond strength of this product. 2.
