Plastic bearings are widely used on photocopy machines, farm equipments, textile machinery, medical devices, food and packaging machines, car seating, marine equipment, etc.(1) POM and PA are suitable for precision plastic bearings. They have high mechanical strength and abrasive resistance, but can not resist strong acid and strong oxidising agents. The working temperature is -60°C～100°C. The inner and outer rings are POM or PA, the cages are generally used PA66, the balls are glass, stainless steel or ceramic.(2) HDPE, PP and UPE are suitable for the corrosion environment of acid, alkali, dissolvant, oil, gas and seawater. They have good corrosion resistance and insulation, but have low mechanical strength. UPE material can work at very low temperature, the lowest temperature is -150°C. The inner and outer rings are HDPE, PP or UPE, the cages are HDPE, PP or UPE, the balls are glass, stainless steel or ceramic.(3) PTFE and PI are suitable for the bearings which working in tough environment and also need precise operating. They have good mechanical strength, corrosion resistance and thermostability. PTFE bearings can be working at 260°C, PI bearings can be working at 300°C.
