The spray up roving treated with silane-based size, is made to achieve good compatibility with various resins.E-glass direct roving is made directly from a 2,000-tip or a 4,000-tip bushing which is produced by winding a certain number of individual fibers directly from the bushing without twist into roving. The surface of strands is coated with a silane-based size which impacts a specific application property to the product. Direct roving can be compatible with polyester, vinyl ester and epoxy resins, and is specially designed as reinforcement for FRP pipes, pressure vessels, gratings and profiles and, when converted into woven roving, for boats and chemical storage tanks.SMC roving is specially designed as reinforcement for thermoset resin used in sheet molding compounds to produce auto parts, seats, bathtubs, water storage tanks, and sporting tools. The SMC roving, treated with silane-based size, is made to achieve good compatibility with various resins.Roving for filament winding is produced by directly winding a certain number of individual fibers from the bushing without twist, whose surface is coated with a silane-based size. They are typically used to produce GRP FRP pipes, pressure vessels, transportation, aviation and space, military and electrical sectors, grating and profiles. When converted into woven roving, they can be used for boats and chemical storage tanks.Each cheese of EC is protected by a plastic bag. If required, thermoplastic bags also can be used, then covered by a box with the dimensions of 278 x 278 x 263mm. The net weight is from 19.5 to 20.5kg.EC roving should be stored dry in its original packing. The best conditions are temperature between 10 and 35°C and at a relative humidity between 35% and 85%.
