These filters are optimized for applications where they perform the role of both a sediment and activated carbon filter.The device works well in hard water and for lead removal as well. It works on the principle of chemically absorbing lead ions, instead of dissolving the lead, and does not release the ions back into the treated water.The tight winding of activated carbon cloth onto the core allows more carbons in the filter cartridge, but a lower pressure drop. This enables ACCWOUND filters to deliver extended life while removing sediment, chlorine taste and odor and organic contaminants from water, aqueous solutions or suspensions.
