Chia Khim Lee Food Industries was inaugurated in 1975, and has quickly gained a strong foothold in the supply of foodstuff for the local market. Within a few years, export markets for its thriving trading activities in dried food, canned food and edible oils were established. All these products are marketed under its house brands as Sotong, Moonstar, Lion Globe, Kings' Choice, Dahlia, Sagiko, Iceberg, Gold Cow, King Fu Boy, Goodlife and Lucky. Some 70% of the company's total production is geared for export to Asia, South Africa, South Pacific and the Middle East. A modern factory with state of the art facilities has been set up as the company's HQ on a 50,000 sq ft plot of land in Defu Lane. To cater to increasing needs and to meet the growing Indochina markets in food and beverage products, a manufacturing plant with R&D facilities was set up in 1996 in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam. As Chia Khim Lee steers its technology-driven business to new heights, it adheres to its philosophy of getting the right products to the right place, at the right time, at the right cost.
